Analyst Job Descriptions:

TITLE: Analyst 1
FUNCTION: Business Development
REPORTS TO: Vice President Business Development
FLSA: Salaried Full Time Exempt 
 

Position Summary
Entry level position. Prepares Request for Proposals, Scopes of Work, presentations, letters, and other documents, and completes tasks such as research, printing, binding, and filing to support the Business Development Office and the Executive Leadership Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Follows direction well to complete tasks as assigned by Business Development or the Executive Leadership Team. Responds to Request for Proposals and Scopes of Work. Prepares presentations, charts and graphs, Excel spreadsheets, Visio Diagrams, letters, advertisements, and other related documents. Conducts research on industry trends, products, and markets. Maintains electronic copies of finalized documents and paper copies as needed. Updates Business Development Summary database with new proposals, sent proposals, RFP hours, implementation letters, abstracts, and results of each proposal. May be required to do data entry or administrative functions for a project.

  • Bachelor’s of Business Administration, Information Technology, English, Public Administration, or other related field.
  • Ability to travel. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong time management skills; able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to take direction and guidance from management and willing to learn.
  • Self motivated and able to work with little to no supervision.
  • Must maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Must be creative and innovative.
  • Must be knowledgeable in MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, and Visio)

Position Summary
Prepares Request for Proposals, Scopes of Work, presentations, letters, and other documents, and completes tasks such as research, printing, binding, and filing to support the Business Development Office and the Executive Leadership Team. Mentors new employees on proposal writing and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Follows direction well to complete tasks as assigned by Business Development or the Executive Leadership Team. Responds to Request for Proposals and Scopes of Work. Prepares presentations, charts and graphs, Excel spreadsheets, Visio Diagrams, letters, advertisements, and other related documents. Conducts research on industry trends, products, and markets. Mentors new employees on proposal writing and conducts preliminary reviews of documents. Maintains electronic copies of finalized documents and paper copies as needed. Updates Business Development Summary database with new proposals, sent proposals, RFP hours, implementation letters, abstracts, and results of each proposal. Completes billable work for projects as assigned by the project team; this may include data entry, note taking, statistical analysis, best practice research, and other administrative functions.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s of Business Administration, Information Technology, English, Public Administration, or other related field.
  • Proposal writing experience and / or entry-level experience working in a professional field.
  • Ability to travel. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
