Strategic Plans, Organizational Assessments and Visioning Sessions
Strategic Plans
A Strategic Plan provides an organization with the definition of its direction and the allocation of resources, activities and tasks to meet its goals. Strategic planning begins by defining the current situation which encompasses a review of the internal environment as well as an assessment of the external environment or industry in which the organization is operating. The most effective plans are aligned with the organization's vision and mission and engage internal and external stakeholders. Next, the plan identifies the organizations objectives within the context of the environment while anticipating the changes in the external environment that are likely to occur. After identifying objectives, the specific activities, tasks and recourses necessary to achieve the objectives and overall goals are identified and documented. The plan identifies the organization’s core competencies and value propositions providing a road map for decision guiding the business to achieve the goals.
Whether it is developing a strategic plan for departmental operations such as IT, HR, or Operations, RNR Consulting approaches strategic planning as a partnership with our clients. Our goal is that the plan becomes a living document that becomes a reference for moving the organization forward.

Organizational Assessments
Conducting an Organizational Assessment is a process which involves gathering information regarding the performance of the organization and the factors that affect the goals. The main focus for an Organizational Assessment is simply, “how is the organization performing?” and “how can we achieve our goals?” The objective of organizational analysis is to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the current organizational structure by conducting an enterprise-wide analysis of the people, the processes and the technology. RNR Consulting employs this approach to develop strategic improvement recommendations based on industry best practices and identified opportunities. The recommendations are accompanied by an implementation plan, which answers the questions “who,” “how” and “when.” Activities conducted may include:
- Understand the Mission and Vision
