Preparation for Transit Operations Management Assistance
RNR Consulting was contracted by First Transit to assist in the preparation for management transfer of the transit operations involving the Personnel and Human Resource areas. Specifically, RNR Consulting was responsible for the recruitment and management of 222 employees consisting of Full Time Drivers, Part Time Drivers, Ambassadors and Supervisors. RNR Consulting’s Operations Management Team developed and implemented a comprehensive hiring plan which entailed not only hiring First Transit incumbent employees but also recruiting the drivers employed from the former subcontractors as well as recruiting new hire employees. RNR Consulting established Human Resources Policies including time and attendance, disciplinary guidelines, drug screening, and background checks. RNR Consulting documented in detail the Operation and Human Resource processes, which served as guidelines for standard operating procedures, to ensure the smooth transition and working relationship with First Transit, Inc.
