Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Management
As part of Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District’s (NEORSD) long term Capital Improvements Program (CIP), RNR Consulting was engaged to perform a documentation, review and assessment of critical business processes, policies and processes associated with Capital Improvement Projects at the District. In order to accomplish this objective, RNR Consulting conducted interviews and focus groups with the District’s key personnel from departments such as Engineering, Design & Construction, Operations, Legal, Finance, Purchasing, Contract Compliance, Information Technology and Human Resources. RNR Consulting also reviewed existing documentation such as standard operating procedures, audit findings and existing process maps in order to gain an accurate understanding of the District’s “As-Is” business processes. Using primary and secondary information gleaned from the interviews, focus groups and review of existing documentation, the RNR Consulting team developed detailed swim lane process maps and developed a technical memorandum highlighting key findings and recommendations.
