RNR Consulting was contracted by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) to perform an assessment of the efficiency and effectiveness of technology management, the governance exercised over technology planning and operations, and the alignment of technology with the Agency's goals and objectives.  Key activities of the assessment included an analysis of DART's current operating environment, conducting interviews with key staff, performing a SWOT analysis, and completing a technology investment  analysis.  RNR Consulting utilized advanced financial metrics, simulations and financial methodologies to determine the level of technology investments within DART, the annual costs for supporting the technology, the spread of technology cots between IT and other departments, and staff allocation and alignment to DART's business needs.  Additionally, we documented variances and congruencies between employee and management perceptions of IT governance, developed IT governance strategies, and completed a cost analysis.
