RNR Consulting was engaged to assist Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) with acceptance testing for the Information Technology System for their fixed route buses. Before conducting the actual tests, we reviewed an acceptance checklist developed by the contracted vendor to ensure that the checklist incorporated all of CATS’ specifications. RNR Consulting spent approximately one week testing the ITS system functionalities including Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL), Automatic Passenger Counters (APC), Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), and Mobile Date Terminals (MDT).
