RNR Consulting was contracted by the Calvert County Information Technology department to provide consulting services. The result was the re-engineering of the Business Processes in the Departments of the County Administrator and the Board of Commissioners. Emphasis was directed at processes involving:
• Correspondence tracking systems;
• Application tools available to County departments;
• Document management system;
• WebDrawer application system.

The project served as a roadmap for re-engineering the business processes to replace the CorrTrack system with other suitable software applications currently available to the County personnel. The project was designed to include:
• Analysis of the current business processes;
• Evaluation of the processes for distribution, tracking and storage of communications;
• Analysis of software applications available to the County personnel which may be utilized instead of the CorrTrack system;
• Development of re-engineered Business Processes to allow for:
O Replacement of the CorrTrack system with available County applications
o Controlled and secure distribution of correspondence between the County Commissioners and the public, the County Commissioners and the Calvert County Department Heads, the County Administrator and the Board of Commissioners, the County Administrator and the Department Heads.
O Capability to distribute and track (with follow-up procedures) correspondence between departments;
• Allow for tracking of requested response dates
• Allow for follow up inquiries and responses.
