Development of SOPs for Office of Human Resources (OHR) Functional Areas

During, the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) project conducted for the Montgomery County Government (MCG), RNR Consulting reviewed, updated, migrated, and developed undocumented SOPs for key OHR functional areas including Training and Development, Compensation and Classification, Occupational Medical Services, Recruitment and Selection, Employee Benefits, Labor/Employee Relations, Records Management, and EEO/Diversity. RNR Consulting developed a standard SOP Template, which was used to migrate existing SOPs. We then developed undocumented procedures which ensured that SOPs developed for other functional areas are in a standard agreeable SOP format. The project team convened with each OHR SOP Work Group to document undocumented procedures and/or to migrate existing SOPs to the new SOP format. The successful completion of the project provided OHR consistency across all OHR functional areas as well as efficient access to key information required to execute the documented procedures.
