Employee Classification Studies

RNR Consulting was contracted as a Minority Sub-Contractor to Bay-River Associates to perform a portion of the Reclassification assessments for Montgomery County Government (MCG). Employees of the County are eligible to request position reclassification within an established time window, twice per year. RNR Consulting performed the position reclassification assessment on several of these requests through Bay-River Associates who held the prime contract with the Human Resource Department of Montgomery County. The assessment involved researching the background data on the requesting employee, researching the current position description and the requested position description, conducting a face-to-face interview with the employee at their job location, conducting a face-to-face or phone interview with the employee’s supervisor, and preparing an assessment report containing the employee information, the position information, an overview of the employee work history, current department and position, requested department and position, an analysis of the information and recommendation for the Human Resource department to proceed or decline the reclassification request.
