RNR Consulting was contracted by the East Akron Neighborhood Development Corporation (EANDC), a non-profit organization that was developed to improve housing conditions in East Akron, Ohio, to assist the organization in selecting and procuring an accounting system. The scope of work included: providing process map templates to the EANDC; facilitating a focus group session to review each of the functional areas key processes and system requirements; conducting a conference call with outsourced Information Technology support; contacting similar agencies to determine how they handle accounting functions (i.e. what technology they utilize plus the pros and cons); contacting software vendors; conducting vendor demonstrations; developing a cost analysis; and recommending a proposed solution.
