Inventory Counts

Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) was responsible for wastewater treatment facilities and interceptor sewers in the greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area. The District’s four (4) inventory storage facilities are located at the Easterly Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP), Southerly WWTP, Westerly WTTP and Environmental and Maintenance Services Center (EMSC). NEORSD retained RNR Consulting to perform inventory stock counts at the four (4) NEORSD facilities. As a part of this engagement RNR Consulting managed the inventory count procedure, developed an inventory count plan, documented facility layouts, provided guidance for preparing the facilities for the counts, conducted interviews and focus groups with operational personnel, inventory control and maintenance personnel. The interviews were focused on gathering information on existing inventory control procedures and allowed RNR Consulting to analyze the inventory count results and past methods that were employed to monitor and control the inventory. The findings and recommendations were compiled in a final report presented to key NEORSD stakeholders.
