RNR Consulting was engaged with the City of Cleveland, Division of Water (CWD) to develop a 3-Year IT Master Plan utilizing concepts of Enterprise Architecture. RNR Consulting developed data, application, and technology Architectures, generated data entity relationship diagrams, developed function to business unit matrices, function to application matrices, identified a list of investment ideas that would close gaps between current state and defined architectures, and developed business cases for the most promising investment ideas. Project tasks and the associated deliverables were developed based on the Zachman Framework for Enterprise Architecture established by John Zachman.

RNR Consulting utilized data collected through interviews, focus groups, surveys, reviews of documents, diagrams and practical experience to create the comprehensive assessment of the current business and Information Technology environments and the opportunity for future initiatives.
