Maintenance System Review and Inventory Assessment

RNR Consulting performed a complete system assessment of the Maximus application implementation in the maintenance department of the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA). The system had been implemented for approximately a year prior to this assessment, and TARTA had neither achieved the expected ROI, nor experienced an increase in meaningful reporting capabilities. We identified and interviewed key stakeholders in the organization, developed detailed “As-Is” process maps of current maintenance department practices, and identified a number of functional and technological issues that had hindered the success of the system. This project concluded with a list of suggested action steps that helped TARTA to overcome their roadblocks and achieve the desired ROI.
