Point of Sales System Selection and Acquisition

The Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA) contracted with RNR Consulting to select a Point of Sales (POS) system that enabled the authority to efficiently manage inventory of passes; manage sales; provide pass sales through kiosks; and report daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales. As part of this initiative, RNR Consulting conducted a thorough assessment of the need for such a system at AVTA. Once a clear case was made for the need for a POS system, RNR Consulting developed a detailed system requirements definition, conducted system selection and assisted AVTA with the procurement of the system.
