Revenue Collection Process Assessment
RNR Consulting was awarded the opportunity to assess the Charlotte Area Transit System's (CATS) revenue collection processes. A CATS internal team had begun this initiative and provided initial documentation that had been collected and developed prior to our involvement.
RNR Consulting assessed the following processes:
* Money Room Process
* Customer Service Center Process
* Inventory Management Process
* GFI Data Flow Process
RNR Consulting identified the following issues:
* Many of the documented revenue collection policies were outdated;
* Many of the documented policies/processes were high level and excluded vital steps; and
* Many of the documented processes did not identify roles and/or accountability.
