Revenue Generation Marketing Plan

RNR Consulting prepared a revenue-generating marketing plan for the Winterhurst Ice Rink. Though the facility is owned by the City of Lakewood, RNR Consulting performed the project as if the ice rink was a stand-alone, private business enterprise. We focused on two aspects: revenue generation and enhancement of customer experience. We conducted customer surveys and focus groups, on-site assessments of the ice rink and its competitors, job time studies, analyses of financial trends, and analyses of the two (2) mission critical processes; revenue generation and customer satisfaction.

Above and beyond the current revenue generation opportunities (advertising, sponsorships, and increasing the number and variety of events at the rink), we recommended methods to maintain the current revenue streams, as well as ways to increase cost-cutting measures to improve the bottom line. We also recommended new layouts for the facility and streamlined job functions of employees. Each of our recommendations was practical, action-oriented, and supported by information gathered from the customer surveys and research. The project was very successful and provided the roadmap to allow the City of Lakewood to accomplish its goals for the facility.
