System Review, Contract Negotiations, and Requirements Definition
RNR Consulting was retained by the City of Cleveland, Division of Water to assist in upgrading its Work Order and Asset Management system from Mincom Ellipse 5.2.1 to Mincom Ellipse 6.1. As part of this initiative, RNR Consulting conducted interviews and facilitative sessions with the department’s key stakeholders and Mincom Ellipse 5.2.1 departmental user groups to gain an understanding of the current utilization of Mincom Ellipse at CWD. RNR Consulting also reviewed the contract between CWD and Mincom for the implementation of Mincom 6.1, and developed contract negotiation points. We assisted CWD in contract negotiations with Mincom, which helped CWD achieve significantly reduced upgrade costs. Finally, RNR Consulting interviewed key personnel at CWD to discuss their vision of system requirements and applications to critical business processes, and compiled a list of over 2000 unique system requirements for a work order and asset management system. This list enabled CWD to accurately identify functionalities within Mincom Ellipse that would be paramount to improving business processes related to asset management and work order management.
