RNR Consulting was engaged by the Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA) to provide training and support to the inventory personnel. The scope of work included reviewing Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations and guidelines and SARTA’s Standard Operating Procedures. RNR Consulting also conducted shadowing of SARTA personnel, reviewing and updating job descriptions, evaluated skills requirements and performance measures, documented the receiving process, developed a bin location layout and numbering scheme, provided hands-on training with Maximus FA, developed training manuals and documented issues, recommendations and action steps. The next phase of this engagement involved the movement of the inventory to a new location, conduct inventory counts, and assign bin numbers.
